Extended bio
Dinah Jordan is a retired technical writer turned memoirist whose work blends clarity, compassion, and emotional depth. Throughout her career, she helped clients transform complex ideas into accessible, purposeful communication — an approach she now brings to her storytelling craft. Her debut book, Defying Disability: One Couple’s Journey of Fierce Love and Unwavering Faith, was written during the quiet months of the COVID-19 pandemic — a time that gave her space to reflect and finally honor the story she had long carried in her heart. The book pays tribute to her uncle Bert and aunt Darlene, whose courage and devotion continue to inspire generations. Dinah holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Oklahoma Baptist University. Before retiring, she wrote training documentation for a major employer in Central Florida. She is a member of the Nonfiction Authors Association and the Independent Book Publishers Association. A lifelong creative, Dinah enjoys writing poetry, crafting personal essays, and preserving family history. She is also known for her love of piano playing, Renaissance fairs (often with a Steampunk twist), scuba diving, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. She lives in Florida, where she continues to explore themes of legacy, healing, and love through her writing.
